Stanley Wilson is founder and President of The Wilson Media Group. He spent 18 years on staff behind the scenes as a desk assistant, assignment editor and producer of news and documentaries for CNN and five years on the production staff of news, sports and entertainment at KCBS and KCOP-TV in Los Angeles. His field assignments have taken him throughout North America and the globe for breaking news, national political coverage and long form programming. His field production includes five presidential elections, Hurricane Katrina, the September 11th attacks, the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, documentaries on Rodney King and five other films. His honors include three Peabody awards, 3 national Emmys for Presidential Election 2012, 2008 and 9-11 attacks, a NAMIC, International Documentary Association and GRACIE award. Wilson was a recipient of the Associated Press award during his first year in broadcasting. In 2008, his production team was nominated for the NAACP Image Award. He has served as a free-lance contributor for PBS New Mexico.
Prior to network news, Wilson served as media director for The Irvin Hampton Company, a public relations firm. He has a proven track record of executing effective media campaigns for the public and private sector. Working with the Mayor of Los Angeles, the City Council of Los Angeles and Rebuild LA, Wilson’s public relations work helped ease community tension and attract corporate investors seeking to expand enterprise zones following the Los Angeles riots.
Wilson is a graduate of Pepperdine University. As an athlete, he competed in USTA sectional and national open tournaments. He grew up in the City Terrace community of East Los Angeles.
Warren G. Wilson, one of Southern California's most accomplished news reporters in television history, serves as a senior strategic advisor. The son of a sharecropper, Wilson left the segregated south by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1952, honorably serving in the U.S. 7th Pacific Fleet. He began his 50 year journalism career in wire services while attending East Los Angeles Community College. Wilson earned a Juris Doctorate degree from West Los Angeles School of Law and B.A. in political science from California State University of Los Angeles.
